Get a black tie, as to please your date, get a patterned shirt, white and the color of your dates corsage, keep the tie plain if you get a patterned shirt get the accent to your dates corsage for the cufflink, a black or white trilby, and make sure everything matches and that none of the colors match medicine, her least favorite color, or clash with her eyes/hair color.
