Why is XBOX Live not free?

because they take your money to pay people to watch the market place 24/7 so that someone doesnt just go and take everyones credit card numbers and get everything for free and then they have to shut the whole system down for 2 months and if someone tries to get credit card numbers thn their ip address will be banned forever (til the year 9999) and that is why we pay plus the fact that they sign billion dollar contracts with Activision (publishers of call of duty) to get all dlc map packs and add ons 30 days before any other console
