Do you think Microsoft will let me?

My gamerscore has been reset and my account is messed up, My gold membership is due to expire in the next week or two, do you think Microsoft will allow me to dissolve my current XBL account and let me download all the content I purchased for my current account on to a new XBL gold membership? surely its easy to do, its just a data base! Is it worth a call to MS or should I just forget about trying to get my content on to my new account which I paid for on my current account?
